    So I had this problem...

I have three firms posting to one of my forums, and I can't tell which posters belong to which firm.

So I contact the firms and ask them for a list of their posters.

I receive prompt replied from forumbuldge.

Morgan fails to respond on 17 and 24 November, but does respond on 4 December.

    Morgan's 4 December response states:

    Unfortunately, this cannot be true.

Rob/Steve/Bender/Fry/jess/bear is forumbulge. I confirmed this by sending an email to Rob and receiving a response from forumbulge.

It also appears that kidiotb/krish/kareja/sinja/enguy are a contractor working for forumbulge. E-mail to this person bounced, so this has yet to be fully confirmed by me.

I have not attempted to confirm the employment of pyowomaniac and CaitSith4343. I thought that they worked for TheAlien at BoostAForum, but I really have no idea. Stay tuned on that one.

So... if the situation is as it appears:

    1. Morgan's firm took my money in October and never made any posts to the forum.

    2. Morgan has mislead me in DP private messages since October. (I can go further into this, if necessary.)

    3. Morgan took credit for posts by his competitor, ForumBulge.

At this point, it does not look good.

I can provide you with kidiotb/krish/kareja/sinja/enguy hotmail address if need be, I'm not sure what email he used to sign up.

Oh, and as for keeping records - I keep all my records (customer info, emails, current jobs, past jobs, current posters, URL's etc etc) locally as well as backed up in several places.
"Losing them on a server" isn't an excuse to pass off someone else's hard work as your own.

It appears he has used a few. Since the first one bounced, I just resent to the second one.

I can't accept an address from anywhere except the forum itself, because that would violate the rules of proof. Sorry. :D

Hello, sorry the list i sent was one that myself and my partner made as our files where lost when our site was hacked and deleted, the list we made was that of which we thought where our writers which it seems some where not if you allow me a couple of days i will get a full list of usernames that our service is using.
Im sorry for the concerns its hard too keep track of users when you dont have the files in which where used too keep track of them and after the site went down we had too start from scratch, this meaning some of the writers never came back which where posting on the forum.
If you wish too speak please pm me ill happily clear this up with you.
Im currently in the process of trying to claim my $300 which i used to purchase a site with and nothing was sent i have spent the day calling paypal etc to retreive it.
    Thanks

Your $300 bungle has nothing to do with it. Perhaps you know how I feel then, having something 'stolen' from you isn't nice.

Sorry, but my posters have virtually been keeping Will's forum afloat, I dont think you have any posts there at all. You don't just look at the forum and say "they must be mine", when you know they aren't.

As you can guess, I'm not happy. I think there are no excuses, and it leaves me wondering how many other forums you have done this on.

    Morgan:

That just doesn't mesh with this line:
If this is the list that you got from the writers, then you are stating that forumbulge claimed to be working for you.

I would rather not handle this in PM, as I believe this is a concern for many forum owners here at DP.

I had my partner contact a few of the writers in which where posting on the forum, they replied with the following names stating they think these where the names used by our service.

As i can see these writers where not working for us and i am very sorry to forumbluge for the incoveniance.

It's not an inconvenience, its deceptive business practices.

It doesn't matter if you're running a lemonade store or a multi-billion dollar company, the basic rule of business is that you as the owner takes responsibility for your own, and your employees actions.

You haven't done that in this case, and it was just very lucky for me that Will was open enough to seek the truth rather than believe your misleading statements, or else I may have lost 1 months worth of work.

I suggest you start keeping your own records and stop relying on what the 12 year old posters working for you for a few dollars into their paypal accounts, are telling you.

    Thanks.

Whomever employs "infinitomagazine", can you please ask him to quit posting barely comprehensible messages?

He has just posted a half-dozen messages which appear to be in a languuage in which only he is literate.

I don't want to post that here, because I don't want the "normal" users of that forum to know about this.

Well, someday I hope to have "normal" users.

Right now, it's still just me and my imaginary friends.

    I will PM 'ya.

Morgan. Im still awaiting the mayority of the posts I payed for.

I have tried not to bugg you for a long time due to your situation and because you said that you were getting started again. However as the posting still hasn't started i have to make a complaint.

I suspect a lot of posters work for multiple services. I would also suspect that it would not be out of the bounds for someone to try and post for two different services on the same job and turn in the same username.

I am not sure that some people paying posting services realize how the distribution of the money typically works.

I know people expect Chaucer for minimum wage, but it is not a realistic goal.

Most people are fairly poor writers and even worse communicators. Writing can actually require a modicum of skill.

Also not sure that a lot of forum owners are being counseled and advised all the time on their purchases.

5000 posts on underwater basketweaving in 3 days? No sweat. It makes perfect sense for that much activity to evolve out of nowhere for a very narrow subject topic.

I think at the end the day people are going to have to accept a bit of a crap shoot. Som percentage of the writers might be very capable on a subject and provide good posts. Some larger percentage will do okay and be average to below average, and some substantial portion is just going to suck.

I don't think it is reasonable to expect anything more for the $25, $24, $22.50 or whatever the going rate is for 100 posts now. The only way it is even a sustainable long-term business model at those kinds of rates is if you actual are able to really enslave people to make posts. :)

You might not be able to expect chaucer (I prefer the likes of Wilde anyway)but you should be able to expect to get the number of posts you have paid for.

How long did you set your duration to? How long did you want to spread out the package and what package did you order?
