Well, I've been helping a collegue of mine with her website and today she asked me for a little help in formatting. When I went to her website to edit the layout - WHAMMO PR6 on the Google Toolbar. The site is only about 2 weeks old but is all article based. She is slowing putting adsense on it and will be putting on some graphics but its good see the PR. She'll be working on her SERPS and optimization next. For those interested the site is: http://www.horsemanshiphorsetrainingtips.com Conclusion for those who don't know: CONTENT, CONTENT CONTENT cheers Frank
hes right - it is a PR6 - seochat rank shows about 3/4 of the datacenters showing PR6. that much in 2 weeks - hope we dont hear BOOOM! PR0 - because something was done blackhat.
cagintranet - NOTHING IS BLACKHAT!! Not my style! Just an off the shelf article management software called Article Live available at: http://www.interspire.com/articlelive/ cheers Frank
This sounds like a fluke; is there a trick to get pr to show for new pages on sites that rank? I noticed on ezine my article was a pr0 then a couple of days later it was a pr6.
Looks like a 302 redirect was done on the domain. Check the backlinks in google - I don't see any sites with this domain on the page.
It is showing PR0 and content has no relevance to toolbar PR unless you argue the fact that good content gets you natural links.
lol , must be a redirect to a PR 6 site as said , there has not been any PR update in the last 2 weeks , then how come the PR has raised? haha
Congratulations on accomplishing the PR6 for your client, just hope that it doesn't drop or anything.
site does not have any backlinks ... PR is calculated only through Backlinks . no other way .. so the only conclusion is a 302 redirect .. you think we are all stupid ?
You got some nerves http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&...shiphorsetrainingtips.com/&btnG=Google+Search it's getting it's PR from www.acrovela.com and/or www.bluehost.com And PR is not about content, never has been.. it is about links.
its a new domain, like I said maybe 2 or 3 weeks old - she just installed the article live software and started pumping content into it. No redirects or anything that I know of. Soooo who knows ...
my best guess: before you put content on this page, it was at some domain park with a redirect. Google updates PR's for redirects between major TBPR updates so that's probably what happened. when the redirect is not found on the next crawl, it will fall back to what it was (pr0 as it is a new domain). you know your real PR when the next TBPR update takes place but in the mean time: enjoy the green
please look for redirects, there is not any way that the site can have a pr6 with the information that I see. MSN and yahoo show no BL's, they would show at least as many as Google if they were true bl's. Unfortunately with all of Googles "algorithm genius" they still can't figure out 302 and 301 redirects. However, The site is very cool and you are completely righjt about content. Great unique interestin gh and informative content for your market is the key to long term site success. Continue with your current strategy, but figure out what is going on with the sites pr, because it could end up in a true delay from getting out of the sandbox.
the site is just an awesome PR0 on my firefox PR extention (it lies sometimes though) Anyway toolbar PR is updated every 3-4 months and there wasn't an update for over a month already.. but.. here it shows PR6: http://www.iwebtool.com/www.horsemanshiphorsetrainingtips.com/ no links, so it's definetly a 302 redirect
hehehehe - how the hell do I check if there is a redirect? I'm almost sure there isn't as all she did is buy the domain, look for an article package, install it and put content on it. There used to be a single page there (index) which she replaced with her article page. Anyways - guess she'll enjoy it for now as she has a long way to go with her site. THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR THEIR FEEDBACK!
