Google+ has now announced that both books and games shall be available on G+ platform. Starting from today, G+ is rolling out games which shall have G+ as its platform, ie, games shall be optimized for native G+ code. This is similar to Facebook's strategy of offering games and aiming for a larger user database and retention. Also, G+ has announced the ability to share books info in Circles (of G+). The info shall display the book's description, cover and title and link back to the About the Book page on Google Books. With new features churned out by Google+ at this pace, user have begun to raise their expectations from the new social network. Do you think Google+ can live up to those expectations?
The game feature is not that great compare to Facebook since it only has a total of 16 games. This is a tiny number compare to the amount of games FB offers. As for the book feature, I really like! Ultimately, marketers can post their reports or free ebooks on Google book as link bait, then have them opt-in to get more "free trainings". Newbies no longer have excuse about not knowing how to set up landing pages to Google's requirement.
I didn't like Facebook then and I don't like Facebook now. I said it then and then I'll say it know. Go Google!
