How do search engine tracks bookmarks? For example I see: Social Bookmark Trends Furl Bookmarks: 0 Del.icio.us Bookmars: 2 What does it means? If member would just click CTRL+D in his browser and bookmark site, which of thoose stats would have +1? Or none?
I am not sure about the search engines who track bookmarks But awstats track bookmarks in their site stats system
Only place i have found, although not a search engine, just tracks the numbers is urltrends eg http://www.urltrends.com/viewtrend.php?url=http://forums.digitalpoint.com don't know if that is of any help to you or not.
Don't know about that but awstats gets his bookmark % from the amount of hits/requests on your favico Don't wanna hi-jack your thread djixas, but another thing about so called 'bookmarks' does anyone know what these smilies mean on the google toolbar? 'Vote for this page' Does these functions have anything to do with site/page rankings? Didier
Yes, google use this factor for rankings too. It's like feedback about your site, more good votes = google will love you more
