Does anyone know if Google reads bookmark text? Say I put bookmarks to different parts of my site with keywords in the name of the bookmarks. Will Google read those names and include it as part of it's ranking algorithm? Also is there an ALT alternative for text links? Can a description be added to text links, or even a description added to anything else that's similar to the ALT property for images? If possible I would like to describe data rows and columns for my tables, with keywords of course. I know overdoing it is not a good idea, but there are places on my site where there isn't much content, and adding it in some cases wouldn't make sense. What about onmouseover and onmouseout events text? Does anyone know if Google considers those as relevency factors? Does Google consider names of Java Applets, class names, or names of external scripts? Would it be worth renaming those with keywords? Thanks for the help.
You can put the title="" attribute in your anchor tags. It does help users with the information you put in it, and *may/should* be of use in SEO...
