Bookmarking Big-Time But No Back Links Or Sales!

I ask this question on behalf of another online entrepreneur who asks me...

"Why is there no traffic or sales from my WordPress blog, when I am diligently posting to social services each and every day?"

Actually, I can relate to this site owner's question because a while back, I asked a similar question to both DigitalPoint and Warrior Forum members -- no one bothered to explain it, or perhaps they just don't know the answer either.

Now, can one of you answer the above question? And, please, be TOTALLY HONEST about this. In other words, do not simply repeat the same rehashed information that already exists on every SEO site, article submitted, or blog post comment.

Look at this way... even if a THOUSAND people tell you the same thing... yet that THING does NOT work, then NEW details are needed.

Now, who's up to the challenge of answering the initial question above, in a way that is precise, reliable, plus TRUTHFUL, and most importantly, "EFFECTIVE?"

    1. The target website is unappealing or untrustworthy
    2. The products sold aren't suited to a small website eg: I would only buy antivirus software from a "big brand"
    3. The quality of information on your wordpress blog isn't suitable for the product eg no visible support, no documentation
    4. You have your keywords all wrong

Yup - targeting wrong key words and the trust may be an issue, getting little traffic? No demand. Here's a tip - stop posting on the sites and bookmarking sites - maybe they get no real visitors and only webmasters go to these sites to submit their links. Try adding actual content to the said site and research the demand and popular key words - I don't submit my site anywhere and I get plenty of traffic... just target the keywords - use zeitgeist or google insights to find keywords and focus on the site - stop wasting time on submissions.

you might be promoting the wrong product at the wrong market, so people don't really interested with your campaign.

    Ken,
The answer is easy. For anyone that's been doing SEO for a few years anyway.
SEO is complex and always changing. You have to diversify your link building. Can't just pick one method and expect traffic/sales to start pouring in.
To start making some Real Sales you need to work on your SERP's and get ranked 1st position. To do this you need to include all link building methods. This will take some time.
