Yes, this movie is actually a remake of an early Bond film that bombed.

 

Wow. Way to give the new bond a boost in popularity... give him a script that already failed once.

 

Didn't see the original but it starred David Niven.

 

Well, if it ever comes time to buy the DVD for our collection, I will be able to warn the people purchasing it about the fact that there are two versions. Thank you Halobitt.

Well I guess the original's Bond actor only played in one Bond movie, the original Casino Royale and everybody hated him.

 

Still, at least part of that failure might have been the script. The producers should at least wait until he has a movie or two under his belt before giving him what may be a bad script.

 

I think it was really good.
Definitely more twisty/darker than the other James Bonds.

The only bit I didn't get was where JB was talking to M, and he said "she left her cell phone" -- noone in the UK says 'cell phone', we say 'mobile phone', so it was a little odd that in a British film, a scene with 2 Brits talking together and they use American terminology.

 

Wasn't the film made in the US?

yes,,,, nice movie but not so much of action as it used to be in James Bond movies. but overall not really boring.

 

ya i saw casino Royal.as for me i m not impressive with movie.
not good movie but i would say average.

I am myself was not in favor of Daniel Craig as the next Bond.
But after seeing the movie, I must say he is not bad.

Great movie - ending was a bit drawn out but much better than the last one.

 

I have seen Casino Royale and it is probably the best James Bond movie yet. The new actor is probably EQUAL to Sean Connery which is a big statement in my book. The movie is also a lot more realistic than the other one which i like.
