I received bogus iTrader from the user alicecooper. He wasn't best pleased when I pointed out to people the databases he was selling with 'full rights' (complete BS) could be downloaded for free from dldb.org. :)

Apparently, his 'bussiness' is dependent on reselling free databases.

Well, technically what you did was thread hijacking. It should be up to the buyers in the thread to decide what they are purchasing is valid or not. But, I don't think he should be able to leave you -Itrader if you actually did not complete a transaction with him......

He was selling stuff everyone gets for free from dldb.org. However, more importantly, he was claiming to offer 'all rights' to those databases which is of course, completely inaccurate and imo, dishonest.

The other guy deserves to be banned. MCFox only pointed out information about the database. Isn't that what the forum is for? For users to collaborate and decide if they want to buy a database based on information from their peers? If he was trying to sell his OWN databases, it would be thread hijacking. He was merely pointing out additional information about the database. iTrader should only be used for transactions, BST only. Not reporting. A negative feedback at most.

I'm a newb around here, but isn't it pretty clear that iTrader is not intended for that purpose. Like grungemedia said, negative feedback maybe, but don't mess with someone's iTrader rep for a non-business related quarrel.

Thread hijacking does not constitute a negative iTrader.

And I didn't state that it did. If you fully read my post I did also say that I don't believe that it's allowed to use Itrader if there was NO actual transaction/sale between the two parties.....maybe a mod could at least clarify the issue for us please so we all can learn for the future?

The guy should be banned for leaving bogus iTrader. I have never bought or traded anything with him.
