Just came back from seeing BodyWorlds at the California Science Center in Los Angeles.

I was against the showing ethically prior since its first showing back in 2006 in Los Angeles. But had to go on an outing to the exhibit for a college course. So I figured to go with an open mind. Well can I say I am still against the major portion of what Gunther Von Hagens does.

I can many of the body parts used in his process for scientific observations. But to use the entire cadaver and pose them in such positions, to me is still not scientific to say the least. Bodies are beautiful and need to be respected. But to utilize them and claim the poses are scientific research, one would still have a hard time selling that to me. I see cadavers for one sole purpose and that is purely for anatomy or medical school classes and thats all and no more. Some things and "fantasy" need to stay in the way back of ones mind and never come out. There is a fine line.

To me he makes Dr. Frankestion appear to be like Dr. Seuss in scientific research. To me attempting to bring back life is what Drs do right? So Dr. Frankenstein needed a prozac and a few happy pills. But his experiments appear to be more sound of mind than Dr. Hagens
