Nope To me it sounds like you're rushing, 30-45 minutes at least for me isn't enough time to even hit one body part. I know many do have workouts that are 45-60 minute full body, I just prefer a long workout per body part. BTW don't forget your core, if you can do some deadlifts, squats, etc.
If youre doing only pushups, this might help you out: http://www.100pushups.info/programe.html But I really recommend getting dumbells atleast - anyways you can work almost any muscle group with dumbells so that might be all you need. If you're doing only pushups, you should vary them as and when possible. So you could do the close-arms pushups(more strain on biceps), broad/stretched pushups(hands wideer than normal - shoulders) and bombdiver pushups. If you really want to buff up, you should seriously consider joining a gym - putting on muscle mass is difficult - let alone doing it at home. But dont let that discourage you from doing pushups - they're very effective too.
Well I listed that I am doing pushups, but I am also doing other workouts and I built up like this before. i just didnt know if this is the best way to build mass or not. Thanks for the pushups link, I will try to go by that, i can do 15 pushups no prob so this will help me get upto around 35-40 which is my goal! That many pushups builds a decent body
Definitely no the best for mass, toning it might be ok, not for mass. For mass you need heavy weights. Such as dips, get yourself a dip belt that you can weight down. I do dips with at least 70 pounds added on up.
Yeah, I asked about that, i have a dip rack but I am now able to do my own body weight without trouble. I have the belt, but my rack will only let me go down so far, not the full dip So i have to do something else, which is why I do negatives now. Its more intense and then once I max that out I will have to prolly build my own rack or something
I would highly recommend close gripped presses, dumb bell kickbacks, cable work, skullcrushers. Something else worked in for your tri's. Dips are great, but if you're not getting a full range of motion and only able to do body weight you're not going to get very far.
Well sure! But 1600 miles is a long drive for a workout! Especially if you have your own equipment at home... Today was my first day working with the trainer at the gym. I wish I could tell you what all I did, but I don't know what any of it was called! She was showing me how to use all of the equipment and testing me to see how much weight I could do. Every single one, she had to add more weight, so I was happy with that... I was able to complete all the sets except for one - and that was some kind of a triceps thing on the cable machine... I thought I was feeling pretty good when I left, until I had to walk downstairs to leave the building! My legs felt like jello going down the steps... But I got that endorphin high kickin' in now and I am lovin' it!
I would have carried you down if you would have waited But yeah, jello legs rock! Accept when driving....
After day #2 of back to back workouts, I am incredibly sore... I'm taking today off and hoping to feel good enough to go for a run tomorrow.
I went karate tuesday, and our instructor done a fitness only session. I done around 2 hours of constant sit ups! Today (2 days later) I can't stand straight without pain!
Well I been working out pretty hard in the Gym and I have been pretty sore! I love the sore feeling to be honest and I believe within 2 months time I will be one ripped DUDE! I have to get in shape so I can compete with Buffalo u guys should see her body ( AMAZING ) Disclaimer: I am only playing with this remark I was not serious!
What have you been smokin'? Ha! I wish I had an amazing body... That's why I am going to the gym! So do I, to a point... But when you can't hardly walk down the stairs, that's more than just sore... Today is better, it's mostly just my quads that are killing me... And the funny thing is, I didn't work quads on Wednesday.
So geeks with acne cant go to the gym? Infact, I remember reading somewhere, that people with an above-average IQ are more likely to workout and stay fit that the average ones...
