Get a bench and some free weights at home?

Then when you do have time, you don't have to get everything ready to go gym etc.

Most of today's youth don't find much success in body building is because they do not work hard. It is not about spending hours in the gym. It is about the intensity of the excercises. Whatever be the kind of exercise you're into, do it until you fall with not a drop of energy left in your body. Good Luck.

that tends to happen. it'll be allright in a few days. If it's not hurting, it's not working :p

good luck, you should notice some muscular development within the first two weeks.

I do Pump & Step Classes at my local gym for motivation.

To get from flab to fab body try the Power 90 DVD course at beachbody.com I highly recommend it as it worked for me. At 44 I have a better body than when I was a fit teenager. Program covers 6 days a week of cardio & resistance workouts (alternated each day). There are recommended supplements that will improve results by 30% which I would recommend. I did this in early 05. Did it at 6am in morning so I would not skip daily workouts due to family or work committments. Hint Hint.

Now I also walk dogs, ride bike, do interval training on ex bike....all to loose fat. And my weekly Pump classes to keep my muscles strong and enjoy that after-workout fat burn. :D

    I do a little body-building.

Diet is probably just as important as working out.

Make sure you get plenty of protein. You should be looking at 1.5g of protein for every lb you weigh. A good example of foods you should be eating include:

Wholemeal pasta/rice, tuna, chicken, steak, cottage cheese, milk, lots of egg whites.

Other than that, trye and get to the gym as often as possible. As somebody mentioned, you need to really lift until you drop. You're not training for endurance or stamina, so forget 3 sets of 20 reps of a light weight, you should be looking at 3 sets of perhaps 5 - 10 reps of a very heavy weight. The idea is you push your body to it's limit - your muscles will tear, but repair stronger. It's painful at first but you get used to it ;)

Check out the forum at muscletalk.co.uk, great resource :)

Protein powders are the top Supp for very good reasons. Not only is it extremely difficult to get enough protein just from whole foods w/o eating an abundance of calories to make you fat, unless of course you have a great metabolism. Protein shakes also have a far better amino makeup in many cases then standard protein sources, plus after a workout proteins such as whey digest faster than most whole foods giving your muslces optimum protein fast, other proteins such as cassein are great slow digesting proteins for while you sleep.

Pound for pound protein shakes can also be cheaper that 'whole foods' on a serving and protein basis.

I'm not really a body builder per say but I do try to stay in shape!

My best advice for anyone thinking of dieting or anything like that is to not do a crash diet. I did it and my liver got all messed up which is not a good thing! Just work out hard and do cardio and you will lose it asap!

Hmm, I've been going gym every other day and i've gone from 64kg on the pec machine, to 75kg and hopfully 77.5kg on tuesday.

I've also gone from 20 -> 30kg on the military press.

I take a protein shake daily, along side universal animal pump. It's a good product, but too many tablets. I can feel the extra energy, but i'm going to go with storm / shock therapy combo next time.

I can't get storm and shock from my local supp shop.

What other supps do you take grim? I've stopped taking my animal pump last week, because i've broke my elbow into 2.

Can't wait to get back to the gym.

    Lots and lots

I've cut down but still take a decent amount of supps, such as Fish Oil, Garlic, Cayenne, Glucosamine, Cissus, Protein, Creatine 'Dymatize Expand', CCE and a few more ;)

BTW buy off the net, so much cheaper than buying locally.

Hope you have a speedy recovery on the elbow..!
