Boat or Boats

I'm just starting a new site for a client, and have to decide whether to try and optimise for either singular or plural with Google.

The choice is between Powerboat and Powerboats.

Do anyone have any past experience deciding whether to use keywords with an S or without an S to help me decide?

    Do both...

Also, google Uses Stemming, which means that If you use the plural, it should also be recognised if a user does a search for the singular...

Saying that, My Seraphim Proudleduck page used the Plural - Proudleducks - Which hasn't been recognised.

Do a search for the singular and see if the plural gets recognised, if it does, I would use that...

But Like I say, I'd optimise for both.

Google's stemming is query specific. Different forms of a word may or may not count depending on the specific query. I have an article on this subject here

Ask Wordtracker to see what people actually search for and have a look at which one is easier to optimize for. Evaluate the two variables and decide.

Interesting article. I'll use that technique to analyse the Google results, and make a decision from there. Many thanks.

So you are saying that Google evaluates some phrases by one algorithm and other related phrases by another???
