Boarding Scene - Skateboard, Snowboard, Surf Community

I would like to get this done and over with this week if possible.

I am starting to have second thoughts, and I sorta wanna sell it before I change my mind. I keep telling myself to keep it for a little to let it gain value, but i really need the money for a car

Anyone else interested besides the few recent pms I got.

 

I would bid $900, but I am not sure about $1850. I will need to check out the site a little more first. I did not even signup as a member yet. I will let you know.

Does your friend own the entire script for the site, or just the script for the video section?

Just the video section... Everything else I put together myself using plugins and php coding.

I am interesting in bidding higher than $1150 but am still unclear about the video section. Why can't I just add those same videos to the site using the same script that you use to run boardingscene.com?

Does your friend own the rights to the videos or do you? Find out from your friend how much he would sell whatever his part is, so I could own it as 1 complete site.

I am deciding to end this tonight, if it does not meet my bid I am just keeping the site.

As for the video site, he is not responding right now. They can not be on the site becasue they do not make a video plugin that is the same as the one on his server for my script. The videos are owned by the pople who uploaded them, I nor he does not own them.

I dont understand what you problem is with the video site being on his server. Its just plain dumb to do all this work that isnt required and it already is set up with the site, simply to remove an ad.

 

The videos are a main part of your site, so it does not make sense for me to buy the site and run the risk of not having control over the main part of it. Removing his ad is not the issue. What if your friend goes out of business or loses his hosting account or decides he no longer wants to be part of the site?

I would be willing to pay $1850 if I could have control of the videos and the script for them on my own server.

Well, I just dont think it can be done. If he goes out (Which I know he wont), he told me he can get the videos to me. I think the main reason he doesnt really want to release it, is because whats tops you and others from spread around HIS script.

Look... I just cant do it, so I am turnign down your offer. Even if I could it would at least cost me $250 to even get it to you... and thats AT LEAST.

I am not sure I would even need his script. I could probably make my own version, but it would much easier for me to just get a copy from him. I have no interest in selling his script or giving it to anybody and he would still be free to sell it to whoever he wants. I would sign something saying that. I own over 300 websites (see the list at http://www.impulsecorp.com/websites.htm ) and none of them involve selling scripts or doing programming work for other webmasters. I have 5 full time programmers and could make a script like this myself if needed, but it might take me some time to integrate it with your site, and it would be hard to to that until I bought the site.

So what do you want me to ask him? If you can get the videos released to you?

I am sure he will but he may charge a fee. Plus it is going to be an enourmous file to transfer, using a ton of bandwidth.

 

How arewe planning on transferring the site/money also, so that it is safely done?

I would really like to see $2,250 but I may certainly sell it for $2k.

I would pay $2000 and we can split the escrow fee 50/50, but I would need that price to include your friend giving me the videos and a copy of the script to use so I could make http://videos.boardingscene.com run from my own server . I would agree not to use the script on any other sites or give or sell the script to anybody else.

Thanks... Its a rally nice site, and you dont understand how hard it is for me to let it go. I have spent over 3 months alone just working on it any time I could.

Hopefully though I will think of a new idea to replace this one.
