Boarding Scene Community

I had a thread earlier on asked who all boarded here on DP. Turns out there were a good many that did.

I just got my new site done, so I wanted to get the word out and see what people think.

We are also holding a contest for the person who reffers the most people. the prixe is only going to be $20 or so, but money is money.

Nice website but the only thing that bothers me is the text 'cause it's difficult to read.
Text is to dark imo.

 

Thanks... Maybe I will look into fixing it. My screen is fine, but yours maybe be darker...

 

OK Cky47 i've given you some abuse in the past but his site is actually quite nice now. (it looked horrible a little while back!)

oh one thing i just noticed - Remove the donation link from the middle of the homepage. Doesn't look good there. Also make those links in the middle smaller they stand out a bit and look a little odd.

Yeah... those links in the middle are temporary, and I just didnt wanna leave them out untill I fix them.

yeah abit dark on my screen as well. think the menu size can be bigger. other than that looks cool.

hard to read bcos the text color and the background color too dark.

You do fine if your computer is set to high brightness, but what about those who arent that tech and dont set their screen brightness high enuf ? heh

Losing those potential readers.

 

Nice design but i can hardly read the menu at the top,a nd the forum looks a bit to small on the main page, you have done a good job overall though.

 

Thanks for the opinions... I am going to make the text a little brighter I think. Also, I guess I will make a new nav, but that will take a little bit.

 

I fixed the text by making it a litle lighter blue, and I made the font more clear on the nav bar.

How does it look now?

Also, what do you guys think about my new member profiles? I finally got a chance to turn them into a myspace type on the vbulletin script.

 

Nice looking site. Could you put a picture or two on the home page
so that someone would immedately know what your site is about.
P.S. I am going to forward the site to my older brother. He's 48 and still skateboarding. He's built a professional ramp system in the basement of our hotel and goes all winter with his son and friends.

 

Thanks... I can see what I can do about the pics, maybe I can get some from the gallery to show randomly on the home page. Most users know exactly what they are coming for though.

I really like the site and it has a great domain, you could really get somewhere with this one, the only thing I did not care for was the text did not seem to be very clear, not sure what is causing it colors or what?. I checked it on my laptop also and still the text was not very sharp looking

 

Which text are you talking about? If its the navbar, I am working on fixing it.

YEah, that thing is really annoying. I will definately get it fixed.

 

I did not get to fix the nav bar yet, becasue I havent decided what I want to do with it, but I did add some pictures from members on the homepage. I also added a journals section and a games section ot the homepage as well.
