I am currently getting ready to add 2 new hosts for my sites and the only thing that disappoints me is that trying to find additional costs, such as domain name reg fees, is like pulling teeth. If a company doesnt list something as basic as that, I have pause. So... after waiting a bit for the online chat support, I was told domains are $15/yr plus $10/yr for private reg. $25 a year? Are you kidding me? No wonder they make you jump through hoops, or apparently hit the check-out page, before sliding that in.

I'll still be using them, but not with their registration fees.

I have been using Host Gator for about 2 years with no problems. Also, they have excellent customer service. A real person will actually answer the phone.

Never had any problems with Bluehost, they have great support and good uptime. I don't think there is much difference between the two of them. Hostgator and Bluehost probably are the safest choice.
