Diamond is forever!!! But after watching the movie "BLOOD DIAMOND", one doesnt feel that it is forever because the people who do the job are slaugthered and the money goes for buying arms and ammunitions. If someone agrees or disagrees to this, would like to have your opinion?
I think this is in the wrong forum. But I loved the movie (Especially being South African myself). I'm sure conflict diamonds account for about 25% of the worlds diamonds. Most African nations have huge supplies and most of those nations aren't peaceful. Even getting the diamond certified/tested won't really tell you if it's froma conflict zone or not as lets face it, it's just carbon and carbon from Africa is the same as carbon from the rest of the world.
General Marketing....n here is get to see a thread on Movie Now i hope in entertainment section i wont get to see about marketing tips. Reported
I thought it was a great movie, and didnt feel sorry for Leo one bit he didnt have anyones best interest at heart till the last minute..
i watched i documentary simaler to the movie and it had real footage.. they go and raid the villages of all the kids, feed them up with drugs, give them machettes and then they go round chopping of hands, legs, pregnant womans wombs etc and play soccer/football with the.... VERY disturbing.. but its real and is happening
ha-ha so this was in the general marketing section before? yeah, I never knew there were such dealing with diamonds until I saw the movie...good story & movie
Loved that movie! I personally wouldn't support the market of conflict diamonds, but if someone wants to buy me non-conflict diamonds, I'd still be happy with that!!
Leo is great in the film and it makes people think twice when buying diamonds that come from conflict areas.
I have to agree. He pulled off the South African accent and attitude perfectly. Even the few words of Afrikaans, he said, sounded perfect.
great movie, pity that´s based on realistic facts. That thing about "long sleeve" or "short sleeve" is true... and trust me that the initials "TIA" - this is africa are very used. Great film and excellent representation of DiCaprio... i dont like him but good representation
I like the idea of the movie, maybe because i'm a manager. But honestly I think it's sad what is happening to these Africans.
awesome movie i loved it after a saw the movie diamonds are deadly not forever i had gun put in my face for my diamond ring when i was 16 in Cin Deadly i say
For those of us who come from Africa, this is old news for us, hopefully the rest of the world can now get a very small glimpse as to what is going on.
