I recently have two blogspot, but personally I'm still think that WordPress is a lot more better, at least the site design and layout is much more options for WP than Blogspot...

    Just my 2 cents opinion.

    Hi Biztone,

I also started a new blog last week, but not sure how to build traffic. The link is techtrendsdot.blogspot.com. Could you please tell me some tips regarding building traffic, because I want to grow this blog into a big one...

    Thanks in advance..

Blogspot is better if you want to monetize your blog since start up cost to you is $0 with free subdomain and hosting courtesy of big G.

East or west... Wordpress is the best... More over, the best option is having your own domain and hosting with wordpress templates. Why are you hesitating to go for your own domain.

Thank you all for the advice!

Is this true? Because I would like to use Google Adsense eventually.

I would like it to index better. More secure means what? Like for someone to hack it? More features? I am all for more features... but don't I want more features to = more difficult to use.

I think Wyattt is right... like he says, I am a beginner to bloging and being able to make the page look the way I want it to HTML wise is difficult at the moment. I am very savvy with marketing online and generating traffic. I have done so with three sites before and with social bookmarking and all those tools, it's almost impossible not to generate traffic.

I guess the general theme here is to get my own Domain/URL and switch to Wordpress? I am going to start two more "sub-blogs," more focused than my general one. I am thinking of just using wordpress on those and linking them with the already more established blog. Does that sound good?

I starting to get really sick of the blogspot templates... They do tend to look kinda ugly... That's not a good thing, I'm currently writing material for a professional looking, commercial blog, and I think it's very unlikely that I'll use blogspot for that one. My current blog is on blogspot, but I'm going to be moving that somewhere else soon too, I think.

I agree. Blogspot leaves a lot to be desired. But you can create/ use other templates too correct?

You can, and I've seen some that were allright - commercially made, though. I'm kinda green when it comes to this stuff, so I'm not going to start making my own templates yet, which means that blog looks..... well, to be honest, it looks like shit, really. That's life, I guess.

Wordpress is the best for blogging. It is also easy to make blog and easy to control than blogger. So buy a domain, hosting and start making blog with the great software 'wordpress'. Forget your blogspot blog.:D

well if you are really serious about blogging use wordpress. You can get hosting plus domain for as low as $3.8 / per month.Stop being controlled and start being in control.

Want a feature just add a free plugin and thats it thats the way to go.Because blogger has still not added the long awaited static page and its beeen a year since they are saying that it would be added soon.
