Hi there, perhaps you guys can help me with a weird issue I had with my blogspot hosted website.

I've noticed weekly, massive, spikes in traffic, as you can see in the screenshot attaches. I know those aren't real visits, Analytics and WebmasterTools don't show any particular changes, but WHAT is that then?

Those could be Bots and Social Network Hits that are easily tracked by the blogspot analytic tools.

If you share your content on the social networks a lot then that might show up in your blogspot stats as a "hit" for each social network share.

There are also a lot of Bot or "Spiders" from the search engines that crawl a lot more when new content is published on your site. So if you were publishing a lot of content and sharing it a lot on many social networks then that explains the spike in the website "hits" blogspot is tracking for you during that time.

There could be other reasons why your traffic is flowing like that and why the only place where you see that "traffic" is your Blogspot Analytic tools but this is my best guess at a possibly reason.

Hope this helps and that you find the right answer to your problem!~

    Much success!
    Cheers!
