Blogspot or Wordpress

I've setup my blog using Blogspot (http://contentmanagement.blogspot.com) but I've been reading that wordpress is actually the best place to setup a blog.

Does anyone have experiences with both and can you suggest one over the other?

Also, I've seen technorati can "manage" your blog, should I be using that service??

There are drawbacks to using a self hosted WP and a wordpress.com hosted blog. What exactly are you trying to achieve?

Lol can you tell I love wordpress?

Everything else does not come close to wordpress and the standards it sets as a CMS.

since my blog is new, I'm trying different layouts and ways to organize the page. Blogger seems to be very limited in what I can control and I was wondering what else could give me more control over the page. It sounds like everyone is in agreement that wordpress is the way to go.

I guess, blogger was good to get me started as it let me worry about the content, but now that I have some content and titles for my next topics I can move on to another platform.

    thanks for the advice!

I'm with everyone else here. WordPress FTW! There's so much more you can accomplish with WordPress versus Blogspot.com

Without a doubt i always suggest wordpress and self hosted, you will be glad of it and options available with plugins really make wordpress very useful.

And with the new WordPress 2.7 soon to be out, you'll automatically have "built-in" Threaded comments, comment paging, Sticky post control on "Write > Post" page, automatic blog updater, plugin installer and so forth! I'm a Tester for WordPress, and always use their "Trunk" versions for testing, then I report back any issues and so forth.

It should have been released the 10th, but they've pushed the actual release date back a little bit to make sure all the bugs and quirks are out of it. You can find out more information on the up-coming 2.7 version here:
