IMO both scripts are equally SE friendly. With wordpress you have better control but pay for domain and hosting,Blogger is 100% free.
Another way you might ask is: Which is better? yourname.blogspot.com or yourname.com? I would go with wordpress. Actually, I would go with b2evolution...I've just always had more luck getting ranking with this blog software. But you won't find nearly as many plugins and themes.
I'm sorry...I forgot that you can forward your domain to your blogspot. But still...I think wordpress would look at lot more professional.
it depends both of them are seo ok and wordpress has utilities/plugins to make it more seo and wordpress has a pre-installed URL option which will make it similar to my forums: skoolforum.com (click on a forum and look at the url). If your willing to pay $100 for a year to get hosted and take a good 2 hours to set up your wordpress i would go with that considering the amount of liberty you have with it and your url wont include the word blogger.
I prefer wordpress because I find it to be more user friendly and has more capability to customize and add-ons.
Go with your own domain name and use wordpress. The cost of hosting a site now a days is next to nothing. You will give your viewers better site appeal then using blogspot and their are some great plugins for it. Over the course of this year, blogspot has been mainly used by spammers to slam the search engines with their spun content in an effort to gain more backlinks to their legit sites as well as generate small amounts of traffic. When I see a blogspot website, I rarely ever click on it let alone read what it has to say.
wordpress too .... is more friendly, customize, theme and bla .... only down site for me is upgrade to frequent cause i have 60 blog to manage (the setup, graphics and bla for my client ) ...
wordpress is nice and has lots of features, but blogspot is great because its more reliable. And I find that they've tweaked it quite well so that I noticed that blogs hosted on blogspot do often outrank sites hosted on wordpress. I'm not talking about hosting it yourself, but the hosted solutions - also wordpress doesn't allow you to use adsense on wordpress blogs, but with blogspot you can put any ads up.
On blogs that I host WordPress is the only way to go, but for free hosting Blogspot is my hero. Wordpress.com doesn't allow direct advertising like Adsense on your own WP hosted blog.
of course wp.Lots of thing such as Themes , Easily Usage , SEO are modified for Wordpress. And lots of blogger themes are turned into Wp themes. Also you couldn't edit theme as much as wordpress. On the other hand , if you use blogger , it provides you site.blogspot.com .For this reason , blogger might be useful for SEO. but if you consider generally , absolutely WORDPRESS is better than blogger..
i use both in different ways and here's why... i have a range of roboblogs using contentboss auto blogging system which essentially is all about driving keyword targeted traffic to a variety of key sites for this I use blogger here to vary the accounts and wordpress (probably 70% blogger and 30% wordpress). I have recently switched to only wordpress for my quality long standing blogs where i think there is potential high value resale opportunities.
Please be aware that I'm asking about the free wordpress blog you make @ www.wordpress.com, I'm not talking about self-hosted wordpress.
I prefer wordpress over blogger. I've used both, and I just found that wordpress gives a bit more flexibility and is easier to use. Just my $0.02.
Blogspot is great for free posting, however Wordpress if you have any knowledge in PHP, CSS, ETC is the way to go, not only does it allow for easy manipulation but it evolves at an astounding rate. If you are running more than one blog and have server side access I would suggest Wordpress MU, or for a more simple offering try MoveAble types free sole propietorship license.
