I thinks, it will be more effective for regional blogspot sites rather than global sites.

Blogger is not changed in blogger.in it's just country redirection if your blog opened from india then your blog will redirect to xyz.blogspot.in etc. so for that we no need to leave blogger i will steel use it.

Hello, I am so glad I found this thread On 2-8 I lost PR and SERP placement of 4 blogs that I use as www redirected to the blog. I do the same things as alaways and I don't sella lot of crap on my blogs they are more educational reference and one is my hubby's business. So when I was talking to this SEO Guy he said do you knwo your blog is showing as NAME.blogspot.com in i was like what are you talking about? I type in NAME.blogspot.com and it comes up fine but i also type all my blogs with NAME.blogspot.in and it comes up fine too. THIS GUY WAS IN ENGLAND not in INDIA and now what does this mean? Can someone tell me what on earth is going on in easy to understand terms?

I don't think so there is any problem to use it in SEO because Google has started to cache them again. As said in above posts it will be helpful regional.
