I commonly see some of the top sites in my niche having hundreds of backlinks from ****.blogspot.com - Most of these blogs are very low quality and are not really related.... Are these people using a service to do this? Manual? They seem to be one way links....
blogspot is a blog service from google where you write your own blogs or can comment on others. It is very relative to your site if it is your own blog. I recommend this and wordpress along with hubb, squidoo and gather for posting blogs.
It is possible that they may own the blog themselves. I have seen this before, if they have a blog that is indexed they may just link to it to get some free links.
A lot of the links that I get from blogspot, the person running the blog is a member of my forum. Some of it is from people just liking your site and linking to it.
of course they own some of these blogs. it is safe to do this i guess as along the contents are not duplicates
A couple of possibilities: -They own the blog -A link exchange where the blog owner has their links listed on every page -A recent comments/or top commenters thread listed on each and every page
Comments can sometimes be dofollow if the blog ownew allows it so that is a good way to get links. Also if an author mentions your website in their post often the link is not nofollow so that allows another way to build good backlinks
