One question: Do blogspot blogs go through the 'sandbox probation' before getting indexed by Google? Blogspot/Blogger is a service by Google, does that mean it is exempted from that 'sandbox probation'?
My conclusion is that blogspot gets bump from google. Many people of course disagree. But I had a few of my own wordpress domain blogs, and noticed that my one free blogspot was shooting to the top. I now have kept the domains, but point to new (and different) free blogspot blogs. The result for me is very good. I don't really believe in a "sandbox," but more on either liking other sites better, or a temporary de-index. I have never suffered either. However, the bad things you do a website to get in disfavor with google are probably the same for blogspot blogs. But do the right thing with blogspot blogs and I think they get a little extra from google. I also could not argue if someone said it was not true. I just may be treating my blogspots right. I think it's not different with other blog (wp, joolmla, drupal, etc). Google will put your blog if you do "some technique" that make they mad. Just keep your site clean dude, don't find backlink from black way, don't write about something that can hurt your own site, and don't put to many oBl on your site.
I think the sandbox still affect blog on blogspot. I notice that with my second blog. Even after three months of daily updating, less than 20% of the content is indexed.
I believe in google sandbox.it is some kind of balancing action done by google..it does not matter whether you have blogspot blog or wordpress blog..
I don't think much about sandbox as the argument on this matter will never stop..even if you show a proof from Google, there would be people who can always argue on why google sandbox does not really exist. I would rather focus on creating quality contents and build inbound links to my site.
I don't believe, that google's algorithm runs as this if (site='blogspot') position ++; there is common rules and blogspot is follow these rules like other site.
I think blogspot might get a small bump from google, but other than that it must go through the sandbox period like any other site.
