Just want to know if getting blogspot blogroll links will help your SERP? Do they have value or nothing?
If the blog has good pr it would help. Even if the blog doesn't have high pr but get decent traffic you'll benefit from it.
can you please explain this .. what do you mean by search engines moving to a more granulized system?
Blogspot blogrolls are dofollow so the link is worth it especially if the blog is related in topic to yours.
Irrespective of PR - if you get blog links from highly related to your niche - they will give you great boost in SERP. But if - you have a blog on pet and you get a link from software development blog - it will do no good to your SERP. While you go on link-hunting - just keep in mind to check how long the blog has been online and remained unchanged. (not blog archive - visit the original archive www.archive.org to verify). The older - the power of juice you will get.
Of course they have value, why wouldn't they? If the blogs are related t your niche then it's even better.
They are helpful, especially if they are dofollow. But do note that if you are exchanging blogroll links with another blogger, some bloggers won't like it if they are exchanging to a lower PR rank blog than their own, so I've heard.
A link from within the content part of the blog is the cream of the link crop. It will be surrounded by relevant text and not be devalued due to position. (As comment links, sidebar links and footer links are/will be in the future).
