Blogs vs Forums - Credibility

Lets say each you receive an inbound link from a forum and blog both with the same page rank and same amount of outbound links, theme, and link anchor text...basically, the exactly the same characteristics.

Which one - blog or forum - is more credible and valuable to your site. Does it really matter?

    Thanks

The difference would be the format itself. Forums may have more readers than blogs. But blogs can have a bigger audience.

I don't know if that makes sense or not. I would think that blogs would be more valuable.

It would be more valuable if it were sitewide or front page, as opposed to a single blog post or thread.

it won't matter as they are the same type of site...both will get your site crawled alot more as google loves to crawl these sites because of continuous new content

I would think forums as there is always new content every time someone posts where as a blog would have to be maintained.
