Earning big bucks with adsense is kind of illusion for me, since I'm earning arround 20$ per month with my 6 blogs. So, can you show me the blogs that are making 500$-1000$ per month? I just want to see what am I doing wrong with my sites or maybe my adsense placement is not good. $1000/month with just Adsense seems to be pretty difficult for me. I think the key is to diversify your income streams to make $1000/month total combined. For example, this guy: hxxp://www.jwrmedia.com/news/december-2008-income-report.html makes $10k+ per month, but only a little over $300 from Adsense.
I just re-started blogging and earning quite well from a new site. To be honest, not much. Just about 2 bucks a day but it's good to have my pages indexed because it helps me get traffic at the same time. I hope you guys aren't disheartened. My blog is only 14 days old as of now but I already have 35 bucks from this new blog.
What you are doing "wrong" is expecting to make big money while providing little value to your user. It's just that simple. Adsense was never designed to be a primary revenue model. Throwing up blogs with ads and expecting to make money is ridiculous.

I don't thing there are alot of sites that makes 1000 amonth. Probably only way to accomplish this is to create lots of websites. So if you have other sites that makes $20/month, you can earn $1000/month. Goog Luck any way
So you got 2000 UV a day, what stops you from having 20K UV a day ? Im not saying you are marketing your blog in a wrong way. Think big, become one of the best sites in your niches.
why don't you join an affiliate network and promote the affiliate product? It is more worth than promoting adsense.
To earn $1,000 in a blog with adsense alone, you'd need to be offering amazing, viral content that everyone is dying to see. While the amount you can make from niche to niche varies, you'd likely need a quarter million visitors a month or more. Others here are right-- add a few affiliate links to other products to supplement your adsense income. And, if you want to make a thousand a month, don't stop at one blog... develop many blogs within your niche. Be sure each blog has content that people really want or need. Also, be sure you're using good SEO practices. Use high-frequency keywords, get some quality backlinks, and be sure your site is rich with completely original content. $1,000 a month is not impossible, but it does take a great deal of work. If your blog have a good Pagerank on Google (I guess PR5 is outstanding), it can generate thousands buck every month.
You need to mix it up. Don't just use Adsense on your blog. You need to use Kontera as well. Content is king but sometimes just adsense doesn't work.
