Blogs or articles ?

Which one do you prefer ? Blogs get long time to get indexed , need lots of work to rank well , while an article that are submitted in ezine article rank much faster in google and rank very good if the competition is not much.

What do you think ?

 

Both are great for marketing. You should not just rely on one way or another. My blog gets indexed quickly and are a long term solution. The article submissions are great to spread your links out. They both have a place and you should use both.

I prefer blogs because they carry more weight and have less chance of duplicate content problems.

 

I prefer blogs more than articles. Articles have stringent protocools (such as non-libel) and your article could easily get lost in the crowd, whereas you can post whatever you want on a blog and make it stand out easily.

I find it hard to create nice looking blog.Don't you think article is good for reviewing a product , I see some article rank #1 - #5 on google for the search term of the product.And all we have to do is writing an article , no need to optimize or anything , just a oure content and you get thousands of tracffics , then we can link them to a blog with a big button on that blog to let them click to the merchant site.Whar's your views

 

I like to have a blog about the same thing Im writing the article about so I can get double exposure and maybe both will rank high. This gives a good back link to the blog of course.

 

both are just as good, but if you target some good blogs it can be more effective.

 

I prefer articles. Blogs need to be constantly updated while articles can be used over and over and the information does not go out of date.

 

articles are good for affiliate marketing, link building, and site promotion but having a blog can bring different benefits. Blogs are more interactive and can be easily updateable websites. Not only that, search engines usually pick up the blog entries pretty quick and indexing is much faster. plus people can subscribe to your blog and get email updates

 

Articles are for short term results with affiliate marketing and blogs are a component of a real long term internet marketing strategy

 

A little of both does a body good. Both have their pros and cons. Don't put your eggs in one basket.

 

this is what I want to say , once we write it , our work is done , no need to update , and the articles stay the there for years.

one question I have is do we need to get back link for the article , good way to optimize is having density keywords , what other ways we can do to let the article rank well for the specific keyword ?

I'm not to experienced with articles, but blogs in my experience get indexed fast, just post every day

 

and also PR releases. But blogs involve less work and you can have many.

 

i prefer using blogs and submitting articles in ezine is also good but there are some writers who have the same topic as yours.

 

Most of the web hosting providers offering fantastico and you can install wordpress with a single click. Blog software ( example wordpress ) will automatically ping SE whenever you published a new post. Blog have my vote.

Well, what I do with my affiliate marketing efforts is that I start a blog with some affiliate links and banners, then, I will use articles to build traffic for the blog.

 

Article Submission is pretty fast than creating a blog. Becoz whatsoever article is urs it gets directly 4-5 page in ezine article when u submit it.

But blog is only worthwhile if you can manage to add fresh content every time rather than adding someone else content n giving source below.

Initially you should start with article submission n once u have got 4-5 articles of ur own you can start blog.
