Yesterday I was motoring comfortably at #11 for my competitive keyword. Then I added BlogRush. No other changes to the site apart from adding another post with no links. Today, I'm in the Google Abyss. I can't even find my site.
Do you think a Googlebot could have crawled your site that quickly and found the change, and then the Google algo imposed a penalty that quickly, all in one day? That seems unlikely to me. So maybe there is some other reason for the problem. In fact this kind of thing happens all the time for all kinds of reasons, usually unknown. And a lot of times it's temporary, and the site recovers in a few days. So hopefully eveything will be back to normal soon.
Don't Panic! My site has also dropped from the index and I think it's a temporary data refresh. I've been staring at the SERPs, and they look exactly the way they did a couple of weeks ago, when the same thing happened. I think they've reverted to outdated data while they tweak an algorithm. At least that's what I'm telling myself.
I just put it up on a blog but I think I will take it down to see what happens with your situation. Let us know if you come back up Crash-test dummy. Thanks!
I tend to agree with amanamission. This could be a temp data refresh by Google. In any case, I am using BlogRush on about 7 of my blogs. Let us observe longer to see if the de-indexing would continue.
how long is thie serp temporary, i have been waiting since last 1 month for traffic from google ... Can anybody suggest me whether my blog (http://www.visitformoney.blogspot.com) has been banned by google or it just happened temporarily. ?
