Hi, Does anyone have any idea what sort of volume in visitors you need for a blogspot blog to start getting page rank? Tasha
Its not about traffic its about do-follow backlinks linking to your site. Try this site here for some help: http://awebmastersguide.blogspot.com/2008/06/how-to-improve-your-page-rank.html
You could get PR on a blogspot blog even with very few visitors. As Hydrojohn has said, PR and visitors to your blog do not exactly have a direct relation.
If you want to get only PR then you should get only dofollow back links you can get high pagerank as you much will get with quality back links
It is not about no of visits per day. It is about number of back links, how long people stayed at your site, your anchor text and so on
It can take a while for a blogspot blog to gain PR, but like said above, it's about backlinks and other factors. Of course having a lot of visitors affects that indirectly as the chance of someone linking back increases. But note that PR is way overrated, so don't pay too much attention to it. Individual post can gain good search engine ranking with 0 PR if you just optimize it for the right keywords and high PR doesn't do anything on it's own, you still need SEO for that.
PageRank does not depend on how much traffic you get. It depends on how many backlinks that page has. If you want to get a good pagerank, start getting some backlinks.
good content and good backlink will surely give your site a good page rank. good luck to your link building.
there are many factors for one blog to have PR, another factors are: - Backlinks - Quality content - Updated frequently
Guys, how to get back PR once google has reduced it 0; probably because of offering sponsored back links to others.
For increase GooglePR I see 2 ways: 1. Commenting of sites (blogs) with high PR. 2. PingBack posts with high PR. There is still 3rd, alternative method - purchase of links, but it already absolutely other history...
PR is not actually much about traffic... its about the links you have from others sites to your site... Alexa is much more about traffic... you just need to build links...
To say it is not about Traffic is not entirely true. Google measures a lot of factors in determining pagerank. It's more than just links. If you have a Google Analytics Account you'll note you do in fact get information about the number of visitors and how long they spend on your site, where they enter and where they leave, the keywords used, etc. So it is completely reasonable to project that these factors do in fact have bearing on pagerank. And a lot of traffic could very well be a factor.
Number of visitors do not decide the page rank instead the number of dofollow backlinks to the page decide the page rank.So a high traffics blog may not have any page rank.
if you want PR your site should be active your should add posts and pages with content is your site niche why do you want PR - to sell links maybe? PR does not mean much!
Its not traffic that brings PageRank to a Blogger or any other blog . You need good as well as quality backlinks and genuine content to be considered PageRank .
Page rank and Traffic are both parallel . You get high page rank implies you will get more traffic. and If you are getting more traffic implies you will get better page rank. The only thing which is required is quality content and time. Both Google Page rank and Human visitors have same requirements, i.e. fresh quality content and links pointing to your website. Good Luck
