Remember123, it's simply not possible with PHP's GD library without a VPN or dedicated server. I've mentioned this earlier in the thread. The only alternatives I can think of are allowing users to add the screenshots for other sites, or have my bot take a logo or image from the blogs, which wouldn't be a completely accurate reflection.
My final announcement guys. Thanks to those of you whom have taken interest. I have finished this project. The admin back-end has been completed. I'm now putting this up for auction I've attached a screenshot of the admin panel in case you'd like to see it.
Thank you Uzair. I forgot to mention that if anyone is interested in purchasing the project, it is available here: http://marketplace.sitepoint.com/auctions/64018 Thank you.
I really love the idea of your site. One issue that i have come across is the reg form. I have tried to submit a blog several times with out any success. The submission might have gone through but i can not tell. I know people are not big fans of giving out their e-mails but i would maybe suggest adding that field to the form so a conformation e-mail can be sent. Furthermore, I personally will go back to my submissions i have made for one client and use them for a new client. I use my e-mail for this purpose, and would suspect others might do the same.
Thanks Dtblkg35 You should be able to tell whether a submission went through, a yellow box should appear saying: The reason I left out the email address field was to streamline submissions, making it a very quick and easy motion. I'll consider it though. Can you tell me the title or URL of your blog and I can check whether it went though, or PM and I'll add it for you.
Thanks Cosminx. What do you mean exactly by scraping blogs? Doing that may run risk of copyright infringement.
