Bloggoing.com - Blog Host, Social Network - Predicted PR5+ - Alexa 64,615

Discussion in 'Sites' started by Jeffs, Mar 18, 2006.

  1. #1
    URL: www.bloggoing.com
Monthly Revenue: full potiencial not determined
    Predicted PageRank: 5
Uniques: on track for 15,000 uniques this month
Traffic Rank for bloggoing.com: 64,615 (alexa)
    Members: 600+ and growing rapidly

    More Info:

Currently bloggoing is ad free besides the ads I have on my blog which earned me more than $50 in one month when placing ads on a single blog...so it would be ideal for the new blog host owner to display ads on all member blogs and if they could make $50 on each of them that would be $30,000, but thats if the world worked prefect which it doesn't. Bloggoing has been running off of word of mouth and has doubled in traffic for each months it's been open to the public.

From when i last checked Bloggoing had a higher link popularity than blogster.com which sold for $100,000, tagworld.com which has 1,000,000+ members, and blogging.com, and many other bloghost and social networks..link popularity is fequently changing, so we recommend you do research to get more recent stats. keep in mind it has only been open to the public for 2 months, link popularity and fresh content is growing because members enjoy using the site, and sharing it with friends.

Bloggoing comes ready with a audio player for each member that join, it's ideal for podcasting or just sharing music. Users can use custom css codes to change the look and feel of there blog if they dont like the 150+ theme to choose from. Uploding images is as easy as clicking a button...

Bloggoing.com will not be sold for less than the reserve which i will not disclose yet.

I will start the auction at $1,000

If you would like screenshots of stats let me know by emailing me at jeffreystapleton [at] gmail [dot] com or sending me a private message, Serious Buyers Only Please.

    Thanks
    Jeff

    LOve that!
First post after joining DP and it is for double the opening bid!
Maybe he thinks it is like ebay, bid 2000, with opening of 1000, then his actual bid at present would be 1001...
But still, 1000 bucks starting for a directory with nothing?
Weird the prices some people want for a new website.

This may go on ebay for maybe 52.50 tops.

yes the website has been relisted, the previous auction had a starting bid of $7000 and that auction had a non paying buyer. Please only comment if you are interested in the website, I'm tired of filtering though unrelated comments, nice to see you again greg.
    current bid is $2000
The auction will last 2 days

Lets look at the details of the site from the sellers description:

    REVENUE

Seller says: Monthly Revenue: full potiencial not determined
    Probable revenue = $0

    TRAFFIC

Seller says: Uniques: on track for 15,000 uniques this month
Probably traffic = Im guessing less than 5000 uniques thus far, most of which are probably from Digital point.

Alexa ranking: Traffic Rank for bloggoing.com: 64,615 (alexa) = Do any serious webmasters actually take Alexa rankings as an indicator of a sites value/traffic? I can get top 100k within a few weeks on a new site, means nothing.

    MORE INTERESTING FACTS?

Seller says: if they could make $50 on each of them that would be $30,000, but thats if the world worked prefect which it doesn't

Translation of the above = Site isnt making anything, however, if everyone who visited the site gave me $50 for no reason, then i would have lots of money. :D

    LINKS

Seller says: Bloggoing currently has a higher link popularity than blogster.com which sold for $100,000

Truth: I havent checked to see if the above is true yet, however, nearly all the links are from bloggoing.com thus google will only credit 1 or 2 of them. Your ACTUAL useful links are approx 50-60 which is not good at all.

    SALE PRICE

Seller says: Bloggoing.com will not be sold for less than the reserve which i will not disclose yet.

    CONVENIENT:p

And then just when you think this sale couldnt be more dodgy he sets up a second account and bids double the starting price.;) Sorry, but this is just pure speculation/lies and hardly any facts at all.

    Relisting from this post:
    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=63121&highlight=jeffs

There he states he never sold a site for less than 2grand on ebay?'
Or did I misread it or lost track of it while typing this?
If so, why not on ebay? Why here?

From a buyer's standpoint, I have to agree with the last post.
Expected revenue means squat to me.
Case in point, I bought and still own a forum hosting site that should have expected revenues of big bucks...so far, not one thin dime!
Then have to look at putting your ads on the other blogs...will the present blog owners like that? Probably not....mess up their nice blog they have created.

No, not worth 2grand to me, and with no reserve, might be fishy (or convenient).

Good luck getting the kind of money you want for a new site.

A quick update on the sellers LINKS claim:

I used Yahoo for this as it is generally considered the most accurate for backlinks:

    Results 1 - 10 of about 2,820 from www.bloggoing.com

    VS

    Results 1 - 10 of about 30,700 from www.tagworld.com:eek:

There seems like a lack of any real facts in your site description and instead you have replaced it with lies and wishful thinking.

I dont normally reply to sales i am not interested, but i would hate to see some mug pay 7k for a site that in my opinion is worth half the starting price.

For the person who joined DP today and one minute later, bids 2000 bucks on this one.
Still believe it is strange....has to be a shill!

Still, it this person bids 2000 bucks, he should come back and prove he is not a shill.
Of course, it is odd that this person has blocked his email from being seen or used to send him a message.
