Hi, I want to set up a Blog to help launch a new web site and I am really a noob at this. I have a blog on BLOGGER but for something else but that seems to be a place for us noobs.

Can anybody steer me towards some good blogging software that I can run on my site that won't break the bank?

What's this Wordpress thing that I keep hearing about? Is it any good and can a noob use it?

    Thanks for your help,
    Barry

I just signed up with Wordpress but how do I get it onto my web site? It seems to be hosted on it's own server just like Blogger.

Worpress is very easy to use. Many hosting providers will also install it for you free, GoDaddy included.

You will actually need to go to wordpress.org to get the software. Wordpress.com is for blogs hosted on wordpress.

most hosting accounts come with a cpanel which you can access like this:
    http://yourdomain.com/cpanel
within this cpanel is lots and lots of stuff which are add-ons to your domain.
Look for the link to Fantastico Scripts and then click it...
you will have a list of a whole slew of software to choose from that you can install instantly
Install WordPress this way..it's way too easy...
