I've spent a great time today researching podcasting [development and promotion], and thought of something that should be a significant complement to my upcoming blog. I'm thinking about composing the podcasting of not only the information we have to verbalize, but using some of the time in the podcast to promote indie [independent] music artists/bands. While I won't divulge on the particular genre, I can honest say that this genre will further complement the podcast and enhance the listening experience. Most likely their music would be featured/played at the end of the podcast, similiar to how featured soundtracks are played at the end of a movie during the credits. I'll simply request that the band [whose music we have selected to feature in the podcast] give something back for the added promotion of their group. What can the artist do for me for further promoting their music? Affiliate sales? Link love? Develop a proprietary system for downloading their music and taking a percentage of sales? Your input and assistance is appreciated. Thanks.
