I've written eleven high quality, four hundred word articles, and I've been wondering where to post them. I do have my own blog, but I average around 1500 monthly views and it's wordpress.com, so there are no ads. Is there a place besides blogger or wordpress where I could start a blog from scratch and earn money from ads?

I'm looking for something professional too, not start up projects.

Did you try posting articles at Ezine Articles or other article directories like article city and go articles? When you post or publish articles on these directories you are allowed to put an author box or signature where you can put an a link back to your blog.

The best way is to buy a hosting and domain name and start a blog and post them there. You can lateron place ads as well on your blog. You can sell these articles to earn some money!

You should start with a domain name, which is yourself.
    Then find a hosting solution.

Just purchase domain and host, install WP (self hosted) and import your wordpress.com blog to your newly self hosted blog.

    i would do:
1- Choosing good keyword for your domain
    2. get a domain name and host it
    3. Creating contents
    4. Promote it

If you want to stick to the 'freebie' route - I would first get a free sub-domain and free hosting (like through 000webhost). Create a name based on the subject/niche of your articles and install Wordpress.org (self-hosted) platform -- install a fabulous looking theme, utilize the Wordpress plugins (for SEO, SEM, and Social Media capabilities), make it user friendly and then do as you wish moving forward.

There are lots of site out there like hubpages where you can get paid to write article and articleme.com where you can sell your article too. But my advice is to you that buy a domain and start Blogging at your own. Thanks

I would highly recommend like others here, for you to purchase your own domain and get some cheap hosting like Godaddy. I started out with like $15 for my blog and built up traffic and I'm so happy I used my own domain. It just looks more professional and for the low-cost startup, it's completely worth it. And not to mention how simple it is to set up Wordpress! So for less than $50 and 20 minutes of set up you can really run your site instead of sharing ad profits with a company.

It's much better to get your own domain and establish your own blog. I think having a blog hosted to your own domain is more professional than blogging on free hosted blogs.
