I try to post a couple of times a week. Sometimes, once a day.

But, typically, I don't do multiple posts in a day except in My Blog, below, because I get paid to post there

Post as often as you can as long as you can maintain a steady rate. It is not so good to make 7 posts one day and then none for a week. If you have a regular head of RSS subscribers then it is a good idea to get regular content out to them as often as possible.

How long have you been making 3 posts per day?

When you start your new blog, try to post more often. Post atleast 3 or 4 times in a week. Google and search robots will visit your blog seeing this trend. So more these robots visit your blog for fresh contents, its will be more benefitting for your blog.

But after one or two months, you can bring down frequency to 2 posts in a week. Also, visitors who subsribe or revisit your blog see trends of your posts. So its always advisable to post often. But try to maintain quality of post. I have seen blogs who posts more often have less quality contents.

Go for quality rather than quantity. But for two months when new blog is started its ok to post more. Good luck.

Just be consistent with your blogging don't post 3 one day and 10 the next or nothing for one week. It's good for the readers to know what to expect and it's even good for SEO I think.

    My two cents

Post with a purpose. Write when it makes sense to say something that your visitors will want to read. I own a lot of Blog Sites and some I don't update the entire month, others I post to more frequently.

How often do your visitors come to your site. And who are you writing for... will they be back 3x a day or ?

One thing about blogging frequency is to be consistent. Decide your blogging frequency may be its 3 post per day or 1 post per 3 days and then stick to it.

People follow the 1 post/a day or 3 posts a week system.
But i really dont bother about that, as far as you are smart enough with keywords use and your content is rich.

I work for a large number of blogs all have different rates, some are a couple a week others are as many as 20 a day (not all done by me)
My understanding is that whatever rate you select you should pretty much stick to it.

As long as you are consistent in the number of posts per day/week and the content is unique & informative then it will bode well for your blog.

You should post daily, but with good stuff...don't just post just to post. You should always be on topic...otherwise makes for boring content and stinkie traffic :)

just be consistent at posting rate, you could post 3 times a day, more or less, but be consistent with it.

If you are posting just to post, and not providing any useful information, then what is the point? Who would want to read that? So just post when you have something relevant to post. I suppose it would be a good idea to spread this out so it isn't all one day, and then none for a few as well.

i have been posting consistently 3 post a day since March - i have seen marked improvement in the visits - site traffic went up almost 30 to 40%

i am going to stick with this rate - probably slowly bring it down to 2 posts a day

2 to 3 posts a week per blog is good. This might be a lot to do for some but has been manageable for me lately. What I do while I am at work is I make lists and take photos of things that I want to write about. When I am in the mood, I just choose a topic from my list and write.

I am posting about 2 - 3 times a week, but I must make sure that the post have a quality to read. That is satisfies me if posting 1 - 3 times a day but nobody read it.
