Blogging for guru status

    Does the blog help you attain guru status? I mean if you provide quality content do you think it can promote you to expert in a certain field?

    It can - just look at Darren Rowse, Shoemoney and JenSense - all well-known bloggers, arguably with guru status.

    Same goes to Alang, Amit, Mong, Maldive, Chicago, also well-known blogger with a guru and great blogger too.

    Yes it can. I know of a blogger in a certain niche who knows very little about the topic at hand. They have managed to build themselves into a "guru" of sorts. Sadly, it has all gone to their head and they think they are the king of kings. Reality will set in at some point . . .

    That said, yes.

    yeah...not all bloggers know what they're talking about, but it is a rare occasion that a naive blogger can reach "guru" without knowing something. Hopefully they just hire blog posters that know what they're talking about after they hit guru haha
