As a newcomer to on-line blogging, I threw myself off at the deep-end somewhat by beginning my journal in a very public forum. The site chosen, perhaps somewhat naively was ICON - the official fansite of Madonna, (on madonna.com) I began slowly, telling simple anecdotes of everyday life and at first was roundly ignored by the large body of members who frequented the site. Perhaps I was too bland in my approach? Or even slightly ill-informed? So I dug deeper, deep within the storehouse of my memories and dredged the files of personal experience. My blogging content changed radically, included were saucy recountings of lost loves and a few tales of meeting the famous, which were expanded upon, teased out and milked for all they were worth. And gradually, little by little, the numbers who started to read my diary began to mount. Day by day, I spun my penned odysseys, throwing in works of poetry and controversial viewpoints on Hollywood Starlets, and the occasional cute reference about Madonna herself; her pert, dainty bottom and memories of scandalous affairs, which I dressed up salaciously. And still the interest grew and the number of viewings escalated rapidly. It wasn't long until I was listed on the site's main page as being one of the Top 5 Confessions. My ambitions multiplied and grew rampant as my excitable fingers danced furiously over the keyboard. Fantasies grew and the gossip flowed like cheap, throwaway chianti. My status increased and my position in the Top 5 rose, #4 ..... then #3 .... then #2. And, then it happened. Oneday, I logged onto the ICON site and there was My Confession mentioned on the main page .. at #1 in the world! Fatherspirit had arrived in the arena of Hollywood global superstardom, and what a ball I had getting there!
