Blogging Experience After 2 Years - Its all about Traffic

I am blogging since 2 years, and recently created a new blog.

Actually, I am stuck at around 800 visits a day. The count is constant since a month or two and I need help to increase it. I want to get maximum traffic from external sources (referral traffic) as well as traffic from Search Engines too.

Also any tricks to increase Google Adsense Earnings ?

As i many times said. Just unique content. Thats really helps for serach engines.

 

I write unique content, but I don't think the content gets noticed.

 

I might be wrong, but in my opinion, it's because your blog's topic/focus is not aimed to gain repeat viewers/daily readers. There are a lot of search engine baits there, so you probably get traffic from those who are looking for things related to your posts' topics in Google (wallpapers etc.) The blog also seems to stray off topic--I don't really know what it is about. Is it about design? Is it a place where you get wallpapers? Is it about gaming?

When I worked for a geek-culture blog, our traffic was increasing day by day, not only because we get more search engine traffic as we post more things, but also because we get direct traffic presumably from those who read our blog once, bookmarked it, and made it a part of their daily reading. Our blog was mostly news and some opinion pieces--there are rarely any utilities (e.g. where to download such and such). Utilities, IMO, are a one-off thing--once a reader gets what they want, they probably won't return until they need something again.

 

Take small steps every day to get your blog link out there in different places. Even 1 or 2 a day will help increase your traffic. STay consistent.

I recommend Reddit.com and Stumbleupon.com to add a little traffic. That's where most of mine comes from, I've only started this week, but the over 1000 visits I've had come mostly from those two sites.

 

Redditor here. It won't work on all kinds of blogs/websites. I guess if you have an IM website, or anything that isn't out of the ordinary, promoting on reddit will impact negatively.

How do you do it anyway? Do you buy those ads on top of the subreddit?

 

Try Pinterest. Very on demand right now.

 

For refferal traffic you can post to news websites its only source for driveing lot of traffic in your website. Other one is social networking website like facebook, twitter and pinterest etc.

 

Never think of it. Content is the king!

 

Update regularly and keep write unique and useful content for your visitor.
