I just want to give this a try, in simple terms as I can do..

Blogging is used as logs or entry for journal, personal comments, reviews, business events, and other purposes for business and personal, their is no limits in number of characters will be posted.

Micro-blogging is also a form of blogging but there is a limit of characters that is allowed in posting for each entry.

Hope this has helped you :)

Blogging is simply the write up and there will be no character restriction. But micro blogging should be in particular size limit like twitter 140 characters.

Blogging is an exercise and synthesize your ideas and thoughts. It is repository of information for future visitors. If your content is unique than you will get more visitors to your site.

Microblogging is a broadcast medium in the form of blogging. A microblog differs from a traditional blog in that its content is typically much smaller, in both actual size and aggregate file size. A microblog entry could consist of nothing but a short sentence fragment, an image or embedded video.

Blogging means writing in your daily diary in detail and with experience notes while micro blogging is a short and descriptive massage to audience.

Google Loves rich contents.. If you are doing microblogging then you can not come to top position in google search engine. So, If you want to get in top ranking then you have to do blogging with rich and original contents.

Blogging means to write complete blog posts on blog posting sites like blogger.com or wordpress.com and micro-blogging is just to share ideas, thoughts, any web page or post. Like we do on twitter.

In one sentence... Blogging is the detailed content and micro blogging is the summarized content.

    Thanks :)
