I'm just getting started with AC. I have lots of ideas but I'm just wondering, what do other writers prefer to put in their AC contributions as opposed to what's in their blogs? Say you have one area of expertise. You can post your articles to AC. But you can also post it in your blog. How do you decide where to put which article?

Do you just split your articles, some going here, some there?

Are there specific types of articles you keep in your own blogs/websites?

Also, please correct me if I'm wrong. My understanding is that publishing articles to AC (or eHow or wherever else) gets you traffic and paychecks sooner since you're "riding" on their site's high page rankings. But in the long run writing in your own blogs is more profitable since you don't share the revenue with anyone.

Another question about AC: They say in their FAQ/TOU that all you need is a "personal" PayPal account. But it's clear that PayPal requires you to use a Premium account for paid services. What do you folks use? Is it okay to begin with Personal or should I upgrade my PayPal ASAP?
