I'm MOST appreciative of your time. I will try these and report-back. It would amaze me that such a small change could be so important, but I suspect you're correct..
Yah its all about making minor tweaks. After doing that photoshop, I started thinking that you may be better off putting your large adsense unit under your main navigation bar. Or just lower it enough so it doesn't interfere with your gradient. Good luck
If you've been following my blog, you'll know I just got a new domain which I will be posting on for the rest of the journey. It isn't fully functional yet, but if you want a sneak peak check out www.pursuitofprofit.com let me know what you think!
haha this is cool. I'll keep an eye on it. Oh, on a semi-related note, I am doing something like you, except, I'm looking for cheap land out in the country I'm documenting my progress. It's the most fun I've had in a LONG time! Sometimes I feel like Lewis and Clark out there.
cbolts, I think you should focus on building traffic and a loyal readership right now. I see you are measuring CTR, adsense position, etc. That stuff is important, but first you got build the foundation. there are several things you can tweak on your blog. For instance the RSS feed links, there are at the bottom of the blog? Readers must be able to see where the RSS feed is without thinking, else they will not grab it.
Yah, I don't get hung up on nay sayers. Whether you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right. Good point, I have just put links to my feeds, full posts and posts by email, at the very top of each page. Its sure to attract some readers.
I'm brand new to blogging.... I started on 03/24/07. (Better late than never!) I'd be thrilled to make 1k per month and hope to that eventually. I still have so much to learn. With A LOT of hard work, I hope my 'little cooking blog' turns into a money maker, one day. Merry
