If i make a blog that has posts composed entirely of free articles from free submission sites, will my blog get anywhere? I'm speaking in terms of traffic/monetization.

It might. Somebody might look at it as a resource- a collection of all good articles on the subject and might recommend it to others.

On the other hand, content isn't really original- so, you might fall into supplemental. There isn't anything unique in your site that others don't have- so people might not want to visit it............

Anything is possible but surfers and Google both hate duplicate content so you risk being removed form the search index. It is always best to come up with your own original content and offer something of real value to your readers.

id say it depends also on your domain..

some domains get a lotta type in traffic..others are just filled with crap keywords but people still visit them via search engines..

but repeat visitors..i dont think so..

The thing is, i don't really have a lot of time on my hands and this idea seem appealing to me. Still opened for more comments.

Well, as long as you simply copy content, it might not be good.
Try the idea of an autoblog. And if you set it on a domain with some PR, perhaps you'll get lucky in ranking closer to the top than some sources.

As stated above by almost everyone that copied content may not bring you the desired results, going for something new will be the best option. As far as shortage of time is concerned you can go for some ideas which do not require time consumption at your end, i.e. interviews (just outline some interview questions once, but this thing has limit of a specific category), do it yourself reviews etc.
