I think you have a good concept. I don't have a blog but I see it is an opportunity for those that do. Once you get your rank up it should snowball. I think it could use some more color especially your header. Well, Good luck!
Not bad as i see, here are my thoughts: 1. The space under the search bar appears as 2 columns to me. I would make one. Plus, you got waster blank space there. 2. Not bad as idea, imo.. 3. I agree, the header needs some tweaking, at least with the header text style.
Site looks good, would agree with the above comments - some color would make the site stand out a bit, but not so much its looks unprofessional. If you could find a relevant image or produce a diagram to represent your process it might attract people to look further and read what your sites about. You know what they say a picture says a thousand words!
Try some of the royalty free photo places like iStockPhoto. You can get some really good photos for 1 credit. Don't bother with the larger images for the web. They have everything. Your site look good so far. Art.
