Just wanna ask you guys- I've a blog and wanna use other sites or blog posts. What's the right way to use that-

    1. Mentioned source without link at the end of the post.
    2. Mentioned source with link at the end of the post.
    3. Use the content by modifying them without giving them link.
    4. Use the content by modifying them and also by giving them link.

OR is there any alternate, however at last, I want to use their content, what's the best at where neither they'll lose their traffic and I 'll also get appropriate traffic.

    Regards,

    Seo Kohli.

Answer to your question - Learn to write your own content, or hire someone to write it for you! What you are talking about is plagiarism; nothing more, and nothing less.

Simply put, you CANNOT use their content. You can summarize their content IN YOUR OWN WORDS, and offer a link to their site for your readers; but you cannot use their content as your own.

Come on folks, this is just a bit of common sense. If you want to start a blog, learn to write your own stuff - otherwise, find another way to make money online.

    Just my 2p.

Ok, ok be cool. Y r so becoming so angry...

Anyways I got your point. I'll use the summary with their link.

Bye the way, I can show u several examples, where people use their competitors content by linking to them with source. Did you see that? If not, let me know, I'll show u the examples. How they do that.

    Waiting for ur reply...

"Y r becoming so angry..."?

Because this is the millionth+ post I've seen recently where someone doesn't want to do the work themselves, they just want to use someone else's work. Hell, this very thread was started by someone who had this very thing happen; and you've got the nerve to ask how to copy someone else's work within the same thread?

Who cares what others do? Plagiarism is wrong regardless of how many people do it. And it can get you into serious trouble legally. Citing someone's work when making a point of your own is one thing; but you came right out and admitted to wanting to use someone else's content as your own.

"Y r becoming so angry..."

Read the beginning of this thread, and maybe you'll get it.

My apologies for hijacking your thread with a rant, Sana.

Hey, I think u r breaking the forums rules.

Forums are for use for discussing things and I'm doing the same thing. It's not for using language like u r using. Isn't it?

May be the topic was old but it also may be that I'm new to it and that's y I'm asking u.

I also want to stop copying content and that's y I'm discussing these things otherwise no need to discuss people like u, who became angry very soon.

and Anyways my question was- "Bye the way, I can show u several examples, where people use their competitors content by linking to them with source. Did you see that? If not, let me know, I'll show u the examples. How they do that."

which was not replied by u..

Cant agree more than this. I have been fighting with damn copycats for long. They just pop-up each day.

By stealing someone's work, you are not only committing a crime but the money you earn can be easily classified as illegal and theft.

I get damn pissed at people who ask about copying content and giving a linkback. Are you doing a great favour to us by giving a linkback?

Write your original article or dont write anything. Afterall writing is a passion, if you dont have there are various others way to make money, go explore them.

thanks for letting me rant :D

Sadly there is a common misconception making people believe that content posted on blogs is public domain content.

You're right, Kohli; CoolCopy shouldn't be getting so angry over people wanting to copy others' content. After all, we should all be allowed to break into houses and take things without the owner's permission, shouldn't we? And how dare people expect us to exercise basic ethical virtues we're to learn empirically as humans!

In fact, I'm even going to petition for this cause. Care to join me?

    Viva la revolucione!

Hey, all you great content writer people, I can't use words like you're using.

Why not you people try to understand that I'm also here to solve out this duplicate content problem with ethic solution. I represent various Scenarios here of duplicate content so that I got clear understanding of everything and can also do help others in avoiding content duplicacy.

Can do any one of two things-
Either use original content OR use summary of content with their source link.

    I'm right?

I would put it this way. Write your original content and discuss the post others have written and of course give link to that article you are discussing.

Unfortunately there is a general lack of knowledge and appreciation of copyright, plagiarism and intellectual property rights in general, especially in respect to blogs and web content.
If you are running a blog with written, graphical, picture or video content (in fact, content of any kind) you really need to make sure you understand the implications of copyright.
For example, you can'y copy someone else's written content - that's illegal, unless you have their permission to do so. Also, you can't take a picture from another website and use it on your unless you either have the owner's permission (yes, all pictures have owners) or are taking it from a source that grants free use to all.
For more info on copyright and plagiarism in general including links to US and UK legal descriptions of copyright and copyright infringement, take a look at freewritingadvice.com's copyright and plagiarism pages.

Acknowledging where you got the content doesn't mean you haven't infringed the other party's copyright.
