Both are incredibly easy to customize and use but self hosted WP gives more control over more features.
I've used both and find Wordpress better all around. I started with a Wordpress.com blog. SUPER easy to set up, quite a few nice templates and really easy to update and manage. But I soon realized I wanted more power, so I migrated everything over to a Wordpress.org hosted blog. Migrating was a snap. Now the possibilities are infinite. I strongly suggest Wordpress - but Blogger is fine if you like it.

Blogger is highly recommended to the beginners because it easy to use. And wordpress has more plugins which professional blogger can easily cope with it.
I agree 100%. The sheer number of templates - thousands of them free - available for Wordpress.org blogs is worth considering it. That and the amazing variety of plug-ins. SUPER customization - especially so for affiliate sites.
wordpress no doubt, easy to customize and use also somany plugins.... The Impotent One Is that it's SEO Friendly.
for me, if you just blogging for fun...you just use blogger... but if you blogging for money... you should have a own domain and host...
Whats your views on blogger v wordpress? Is there even any competition? I would pick wordpress just because of all the plugins.
If you host Wordpress yourself vs. Blogger, Wordpress hands down. Like you said, it has so many plugins and a huge community. For the hosted version I would still pick Wordpress just because it has more features. Plus, I prefer their interface in the administrative area personally.
