My vote is with blogger. I'm thinking since you're going to ride with Google anyway why not go with them all the way?

 

Blogger is owned by google and it indexed very quickly and get ranked high than wordpress.

I wish the thread creator would of created it as a poll. But it's really interesting to see how opinions of the day are changing. In the beginning most people were going with wordpress but recently it seems like many opinions are switching to supporting blogger.

 

Blogger is google's blogging service and wordpress is its own blogging service.
But Wordpress have more functionality then blogger so I would to like to suggest wordpress for blogging.

 

I'd prefer Wordpress anytime because with the usage of plugins. It makes your life easier.

Blogger is free platform service... and WordPress is free hosted platform service... Blogger and WordPress both are important as online income...

 

Yes there are lots of blogging platforms including those which you can develop yourself from open sourced platforms.
Blogger is very simple to use, but WordPress has lots of plugins, themes and is very reliable. I have 1 blogger and 4 WP. As the ratio shows us I prefer WordPress, but it's your choice.

 

Wordpress has acquired the large part of Blogging industry.

I will prefer Wordpress CMS is great.

 

Why "mybb" is out of your choice ?

Now my suggestion :
If you are a novice ,you should use blogging first,though there are many like LiveJournal, TypePad, Tumblr.
A short comparison in between word-press vs blogging :
-you need technical skill for word-press on the other hand you need you need familiarity with inter component of blogger.
-Word press is more secured than blogger.
-SEO and ADVERTISING is easy in blogger than word-press.

Now the choice is yours ,do according to your choice.

 

Wow, I think there are top 3 blogging platform that you must try. It's not very hard to answer that which blogging platform is better, easy and popular.
In my opinion:
Wordpress has defeated Blogger.
As Wordpress is open source blogging platform and very easy to understand.

 

Both platforms are perfect and empowered with auto installers, but being an SEO Specialist, I've observed that blogger takes less time than wordpress to be indexed and ranked first on SERP. For general blogging I will recommend you to use wordpress, but for SEO or Promotion purpose you must go for blogger.

 

Blogspot is a great free blog to get you started and test the waters. You can get a domain and not have to get host-ing, which is nice.
However, if your site ever grows and you need more horse-power and features for your blog. Then i suggest upgrading to WP.

 

I prefer blogger than wp,
cause easy to index, easy to understand, now blogger support change permalink, alt images, robots.txt and more like when you blogging with wp and also you can make blogger seem like selfhost sites and your custom domain blogger have a private nameservers like other blog/web provider for free.
