By far WordPress blows all other Content Management Systems (CMS) out of the water. It is the easiest to use and you can customize it to your liking or purchase a theme out of a box for less than $30 and there are thousands of free themes available. Blogger is not as good and you are stuck with "yourblogname.blogger.com" extension. WordPress, hands down!
You must be kidding, wordpress is very customisable, even some themes come with such broad customisation options, even groupon started with wordpress to test their idea.
I used to have my personal blog on blogger many years ago, but switched to wordpress because servers were too slow... and I didn't like the design. I have not moved from wordpress, its very clean and easy to use, practical, I put more attention in what I'm posting so now I have a lot of traffic.
I got use to working with wordpress. I like it because there are a lot of plugins and is very seo friendly. Have no idea if you can install a blogspot on your own domain. So I would say the flexibility ( in number of option ) is less for blogspot. However is all well seen in search engines. I guess is your decision ... depending on what you want to do with the site.
from my limited experience I agree. To add to this it definitely comes standard as being extremely seo friendly.
No, Groupon started on a wordpress blog when they were testing their idea, there are some huge blogs out there running on wordpress from established big names. Unless you're referring to a wordpress blog hosted by wordpress, i dont know, maybe theres limitations with that, but self hosted wordpress blogs can definately be used for everything from a personal blog to a big business blog.
I know this is between Wordpress and Blogger so I will vote for Wordpress because Blogger just SUCKS. But I prefer Joomla out of all the content management systems for features, user-friendliness and more
I never considered Blogger easy for SEO. Don't you have to go into each template and add the exact title and meta description you want? I always thought that was the case anyway...
Here's what I found out... BLOGGER/BLOGSPOT 1. Blogger is a free publishing platform owned by Google. This means that you can publish articles and web-pages in a domain website. You don't have to use a FTP (file transfer protocol) to run your website, the platform does the work. 2. You can use this platform with any custom domain , you don't have to use Blogspot. The system is similar to WordPress. 3. Blogspotis a free domain service provider owned by Google. This means you'll have a subdomain like (example.blogspot.com). Blogspot supports Blogger in delivering free blogging service. 4. Blogger DOES NOT have to be used with Blogspot, but Blogspot must be used with Blogger. Make sense? WORDPRESS 1. WordPress.com and WordPress.org are blogging systems like Blogger and Blogspot. However, they have more features such static pages such as About or Contact. WordPress allows for more categories. Blogger is a Google product, WordPress is an open source software. 2. WordPress has an import option and you can import older posts and comments -- you cannot do this with Blogger. 3. You can create your own WordPress template or use a pre-designed template. Blogger has more control over templates. 4. WordPress allows linkbacks to your posts (a comment notification that someone blogged about you) -- Blogger (built-in) does not have this feature. 5. WordPress provides you with statistics for your blog -- Blogger does not. As you can see, WordPress offers more features than Blogger/Blogspot. When I did some research, I found that many people prefer WordPress over Blogger. WordPress is an open source platform which many people like -- this is why they use WordPress. I hope this helps...
I go with blogger because while it is not as customizable as wordpress their are still tons of options and blogger is only $10/year for domain and everything.
