Wordpress is much easier to operate, but it's more like to be spanned as a spam cite (too many links in your article are not allowed ). Therefore, comparatively, I prefer blogger. Since you are a new blog user, you can try both of them and then you will know which is much better and cater to your taste.
If all you want to do is blogging and you have no other plans in the future for your website, Wordpress is the way to go. As others have mentioned, you will have some good plugins to choose from to help you.
You should really consider the fact that blogger is google's , and they go really nice on it when it comes to PR (I mean it gives a higher page rank)
Are you saying that google gives preference to blogger in search results just because they own blogger ?
it's not that I say ... it's that it's true and I don't know about search results but I know about pagerank.
I dont think if you go for blogger.com you will get top rank on google search. Last week i created one blog www.blog.envixa.com and that has indexed by google in 24 hrs. I can find the result on google too now.
Buy your own domain and hosting plan. It's worth it imo. You'll be bale to control your website and database freely and at the same time you'll learn how to build and upload website on a server.
Wordpress has more goodies and of course you will own the real estate, but blogger is excellent for those looking for a free platform and of course is owned by Google which will work very well with SEO especially when a few backlinks are added.Always rememver to add the site to Google webmaster tools as this will allow for quicker indexing.
Please tell me the disk space and bandwidth provided by these two services... And which of these is better...
Wordpress is better because it has more consonants in its name. That's the definitive test of a blogging engine Seriously, why not try them both and see which you are more comfortable with, after all they are both free.
I have. And your answer was not related to my question. I just want to know the disk space and bandwidth provided by both so I may know when my limit is gonna be up so I may move to a proper domain.
That's an interesting question. I know that the pictures you upload with blogger go into your picasa account, which is 1GB big and getting an upgrade to 10GB isn't terribly expensive. As for the bandwidth, I don't think there is a limit. I mean, there are some very high trafic blogs on blogger, and I never seen one down. They also mention nothing about it in the help.
