If you have your own domain and hosting, definitely WordPress. Otherwise, you may want to go with blogger.
If you are new to blogging. Then Blogspot is the best for learning all blogging stuffs. Once you learn some basin concept how the blog work.. Then slowly move on to wordpress.com and learn and learn some how wordpress works. Once you fit with wordpress. For testing and learning... I recommend register a sample domain in co.cc, they offer subdomain like. yourdomainname.co.cc and DNS management. Search for some free hosting http://www.absolutely-free-hosting.com/ and choose the the hosting they suite for testing... Go to use tube and learn how to install wordpress and hosting stuffs.. once you done test at its extreme then go for paid hosting and paid domain... Hope I helped you some way.
Wordpress is open source and fully customizable, but only good for people with a certain level of technical know-how. If you're completely new, then use Blogger, because that's what I used when I just started
For seo reason, I suggest you to use wordpress. But, if you use free wordpress (not with your own domain and hosting), you limited to monetize it. Wordpress prohibit its user to post a paid review. take care I'm a longtime blogspot blogger (with my own domain and not), now I have begun to migrate to use wordpress with my own domain and hosting. I free to maintain it without limit and monetize it.
If you want to start blogging career you can check Technogati{dot}com it is the best blogger guide. I am using WordPress blog platform and I would like to suggest you that you only go for WordPress.WordPress is the best platform and it can drive lot of traffic to your blog due to its best seo system.
WordPress is the clear choice, make sure you install it on your own server and use your own domain. If you do free hosting on either service you wont own the blog really and it can be taken down at any time.
It depends. If you're going to buy a domain then wordpress is definitely the best bet. If you plan on using a free service with a yourname.wordpress.com or yourname.blogger.com domain you should go with blogger because it allows adsense while wordpress does not.
I use blogger. But why opt to build a blog if you can make a real website. Try webs.com and its free! Thanks
wordpress is definitely the best of the world. blogger layout often distorted and having bugs that interupted bloggers from posting and adding photos. these are some of the problems that i faced in the past. wordpress did not face any bug error so far.
Pluses Blogger.com: 1. Blogger.com has simple process of creation of a blog. 2. As Blogger.com belongs Google, blogs on Blogger.com tend to get on top of search Google faster, than blogs on WordPress.com. 3. Options in Blogger.com very easy, practically any can understand with them. 4. Blogger.com allows to earn money, showing AdSense and other advertising. Minuses Blogger.com: 1. Bad system of comments. 2. You cannot filter a spam. 3. You cannot have some pages if do not know CSS. 4. There are no good standard templates. It is necessary to search for them in a network, or to be familiar with CSS, to make beautiful design.
1st make money with blogger, it is free.. after got $$$, go to pro, buying domain and hosting ana created self hosted wordpress.. wordpress better than blogger
Pluses WordPress.com 1. You can import pages from blog Blogger.com 2. There is a possibility easily to create additional pages (about a blog, contacts etc.). 3. There are good templates and convenient system of comments. 4. Possibility to subscribe for comments. 5. Preliminary viewing of the comment. Minuses WordPress.com 1. It is impossible to show advertising, even AdSense. 2. There is no possibility to use plug-ins which has WordPress.org 3. Little bit difficult in use.
Certainly, if it is a question about engine Wordpress, in this case wins certainly Wordpress (though it is pleasant to me Joomla) and if it would be desirable something free, - that only Blogspot.
