If you have your own domain and hosting, definitely WordPress. Otherwise, you may want to go with blogger.

If you are new to blogging. Then Blogspot is the best for learning all blogging stuffs. Once you learn some basin concept how the blog work.. Then slowly move on to wordpress.com and learn and learn some how wordpress works. Once you fit with wordpress.

For testing and learning... I recommend

register a sample domain in co.cc, they offer subdomain like. yourdomainname.co.cc and DNS management.

Search for some free hosting http://www.absolutely-free-hosting.com/ and choose the the hosting they suite for testing...

Go to use tube and learn how to install wordpress and hosting stuffs.. once you done test at its extreme then go for paid hosting and paid domain...

Hope I helped you some way.

Wordpress is open source and fully customizable, but only good for people with a certain level of technical know-how.

If you're completely new, then use Blogger, because that's what I used when I just started

For seo reason, I suggest you to use wordpress. But, if you use free wordpress (not with your own domain and hosting), you limited to monetize it. Wordpress prohibit its user to post a paid review. take care

I'm a longtime blogspot blogger (with my own domain and not), now I have begun to migrate to use wordpress with my own domain and hosting. I free to maintain it without limit and monetize it.

WordPress is the clear choice, make sure you install it on your own server and use your own domain. If you do free hosting on either service you wont own the blog really and it can be taken down at any time.

It depends. If you're going to buy a domain then wordpress is definitely the best bet. If you plan on using a free service with a yourname.wordpress.com or yourname.blogger.com domain you should go with blogger because it allows adsense while wordpress does not.

I use blogger. But why opt to build a blog if you can make a real website. Try webs.com and its free!

    Thanks

wordpress is definitely the best of the world. blogger layout often distorted and having bugs that interupted bloggers from posting and adding photos. these are some of the problems that i faced in the past. wordpress did not face any bug error so far.

Certainly, if it is a question about engine Wordpress, in this case wins certainly Wordpress (though it is pleasant to me Joomla) and if it would be desirable something free, - that only Blogspot.
