Just wondering, which do you guys think is better for SEO or just in that matter better overall? I currently use blogger, I think it is pretty easy to use, but I think that I can do much more in Wordpress. Also just wondering for Wordpress do you have to pay to customize it or whatever, I read that somewhere? Also what is the best hosting company to host a wordpress blog. Thanks in advance!
I can't answer your first question, as I have never used blogger, however I have used wordpress a lot therefore the second one shouldn't be a problem. You don't have to pay to customize it, you can do almost anything you want with it here: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/ As for the best hosting company, there are many, just find a reliable host with mysql and php and you will be fine.
You can buy custom templates for wordpress but there are free ones out there that you can use as well. I haven't used Blogger but there isn't really any limits on what you can do for wordpress

The things that you see on other word press blogs are not all characteristics of wordpress per se', but customizations, and settings that the webmaster has made for that particular blog
my vote for wordpress for both flexibility and SEO.. Blogger is good for just SEO as it is hosted on google's servers.. but overall wordpress rocks
In my experience, Wordpress is more popular with almost every pro have met and blogger is more popular amongst casual bloggers, exceptions do exist but they only prove the rule. I think Wordpress wins this one.
WORDPRESS all the way. I have tried blogger and am now using wordpress and I amazed at all of the different searches it comes up for. Plus you have all of those plugins.
Why would you put time and effort into building anything on a platform that someone else could ban or turn off on a whim?
wow, I'm using blogger now, you can view as below, it is good and easy to use. maybe later I will try WP. Then to find the difference by myself. If that suits me, then it is the best!
For a free blog, I would definitely vote for blogger, but for a self-hosted / paid blog, always wordpress in my mind.
Yes, free blogger is the way to go i suppose. If you are self hosting, wordpress is so customizeable the skys the limit. You can add so much to a wordpress site, and make them look so non-blog while still functioning like a blog. If you are paying for a domain.hosting.etc, wordpress is definitly the way to go. Think of it as blogger using a sitck, and wordpress using a blow dart, or a katanna, or a .45 lol.
